Artists of the Deal
Overcoming the hurdles to property ownership

Owning property is one of the best ways for artists to build equity and not get priced out by rising rents.  But artists often have  more hurdles to overcome than the typical investor:  Student loan debt, spotty employment history, multiple income sources, self-employment -- in addition to encountering bankers who think that artists are flakey.  Hear from artists who own property and how they did it while maintaining their art practices.  Artists Mara Baker, Eleanor Hyde will join Lynn Basa and other artist/property owners in an informal conversation.  Lynn's long-time mortgage broker Brian Lindstrom will be on hand to talk us through qualifying for a mortgage, and other imponderables.

Artists of the Deal is the first of a new Corner conversation series, A2A: Artists to Artists.
