Steppenwolf Theatre Company is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor. The Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor works as part of the wardrobe team running shows (including the application and maintenance of costumes, hair, makeup, and accessories throughout the run) and assisting the supervisor in pre-production show preparation and planning. The schedule varies, often including evening and weekend hours.
- Run shows from pre-show prep (including maintenance) through in-show quick changes to post-show laundering and cleanup
- Assist the Hair, Makeup & Wardrobe Supervisor in proactively collaborating with the costume shop, costume designers, actors, wig designer/makers, salons, and vendors to realize and maintain designs
- Ensures that the work environments are safe, humane, and respectful

This is a non-exempt position. Compensation is competitive with prevailing compensation for similar positions within the non-profit performing arts industry.
