Digital Arts Lab Instructor
Are you a digital artist, or a digital art teacher who enjoys working with high school students? Does the idea of working in afterschool art programs appeal to you? We have a full-time position available, working at CHICAT during the Fall and Spring sessions Monday-Friday from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm and the Summer session from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Digital Arts Lab Instructor plans, organizes, and implements learning experiences that engage students in digital arts and technology. The Instructor serves as a mentor and assists students in developing creative capacities that promote artistic abilities, positive social behavior and coping skills that will lead to successful progression through the students personal, educational, and professional pursuits.
The Chicago Center for Arts and Technology (CHICAT) is a community-based organization located in the Illinois Medical District that provides cutting-edge adult training in the health and manufacturing sectors as well as high-end digital and design arts training for high school students. We opened to the public in March 2017, servicing the communities of North Lawndale, Little Village, and Pilsen.
