If you’re a current DJ or interested in entering the industry, MWES Wedding, an award-winning wedding and events company in the Northwest Suburbs, is looking to add you to the team this Fall! We’re seeking outgoing individuals, with a good understanding of all music genres (it helps when you get those obscure requests at the last minute), interested in learning DJ skills or bringing their existing skills to our team. Our team is made up of several individuals with technical theatre backgrounds that enjoy bringing our unique understanding of live entertainment to the event industry.

All equipment is provided and maintained by MWES, all DJs will become employees of MWES and will receive paid training and constant support on our methods of DJing and customer service expectations. We currently DJ weddings, corporate events, high school dances and private events, as well. A qualified candidate would be free weekends for gigs, and occasional week nights or days to meet with their client for prep work and be available immediately.

Job duties include, but are not always limited to:

-At least 1-2 pre-event client meetings

-Equipment pick up in Streamwood, IL

-Equipment setup/Breakdown

-DJing event

-Master of Ceremonies for event, speaking on a microphone, working with client and venue to ensure a successful event

-Travel in and around Chicago and suburbs

Skills & Qualifications: 

Qualifications include:

-Prior experience or Interest in the DJ industry

-ability to lift 50-100lbs

-ability to stand for up to 5 hours on occasion, depending on venue

-Consistent weekend availability

-Occasional week day or night availability, to meet with clients

-Immediate availability

-technologically savvy/literate

-experience in technical theatre is a plus, but not required

-Outgoing/comfortable commanding an audience, talking on a microphone, controlling a crowd

-Must have a reliable vehicle and insurance

We expect all of our DJs to be on time, well-groomed, well-spoken and must provide their own suit or appropriate attire.

Compensation is competitive based on experience**
