House Manager

The Apollo Theater is looking for responsible, organized, customer service driven part time staff to serve as a leader for the Front of House team. We are looking for the right person to work as House Manager for our mainstage space. The ideal candidate has previous House Management experience, is comfortable taking charge in a fast-paced atmosphere, and has a passion for providing an enjoyable and safe experience for theater patrons and professionals.


Skills & Qualifications: 

Duties include, but aren’t limited to answering questions about the theater/shows and the surrounding area, seating patrons, selling merchandise, light cleaning, coordinating with production staff, assisting patrons with mobility limitations, responding and finding a solution to customer complaints, managing ushers, supervising emergency procedures, and running/sending reports. Bartending experiences/certification not required, but is greatly appreciated. All applicants should have exemplary customer service skills. Job requires the ability to walk up and down stairs in theater seating, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Position is approximately 15-20 hours per week. Must have availability nights and weekends.
